Since the launch of the Windows 10, around two months ago it was announced that the number of users who had upgraded to the new operating system; Windows 10 had reached 300 million users. Presently, upon announcement of the update anniversary the numbers have spiked to 350 million users. The users are of course way more than just 350 million users. Microsoft has taken into account all devices including those in shops and warehouses yet to be sold but still operating under the Windows 10.
Speaking of expectations, the Windows 10 launch should have yielded a lot more users than 350 million of them. This is taking into consideration the facts that Microsoft put a lot of effort in its promotion and upgrading to the extent of using trickery. All these should have resulted in much more system upgrades.
Microsoft as a software giant likes to keep tabs on the performance of its products. It ensures to follow up and assess how its products are faring in the market and in use.it informs us that Microsoft users have added up to 135 billion hours of use under Windows 10 since its launch. Calculating that brings us to 386 hours per Microsoft user which is not an exact figure considering the many factors involved. For instance, users did not all start using Windows 10 at the same time.
Talking about customer satisfaction, Microsoft claims to have provided this on a much higher note with Windows 10 than with any other operating system previously. Considering previous events during the launching of the new operating system this customer satisfaction claim is a very questionable claim. This is factoring in the methods of trickery used by Microsoft to get people to upgrade meaning that there are certain users who upgraded against their own free will. Therefore the claim becomes unwarranted.
