Upgrade to Windows 10 build 10240 or lose the access to updates and the store

If you have not yet upgraded your OS to build 10240 of Windows, then this is the right time to do so. People who are using an older version will not be able to use the Windows Store and this could mean that you will not be able to update any of the apps that are installed.

Microsoft has been doing their best in promoting Windows 10 since a week and this has given the reason for people to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and Windows 8 since July 29th. Many people are vying before this date to move from an earlier version.

There could be a feeling in you that you could live without accessing Windows store, but the true is that you got to keep in mind on losing access to updates. When Windows 10 was launched, updates on the application were quick and thick and you would not like to miss the opportunity on using the Store.

One of the messages shown at an Insider Hub reads as follows:

The store team of Windows 10 has been making great improvements and trying to fix up things to attain performance and reliability. You need to make sure that you get the important updates benefit which starts from July 24th. It starts with people who are not using Windows 10 or have not yet upgraded to Windows 10 will be affected and will not be able to experience the Windows 10 store. You need to check with the Windows Update and see that they have installed the latest build and the updates that are recently updated.

Build 10240 is available on two different rings – Fast and Slow and there is no excuse in not being able to grab it.

Windows 8 did not turn out to be a successful one as predicted and the expectations of people were not met too. With Windows 10, Microsoft is doing a great job and most of the things that did not work with Windows 8 were added in this latest version having greater features and securing capabilities. Microsoft has informed that users of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 will be able to upgrade to this latest version without paying a single sum of money. Even if you do not have original license copy of Windows 7 or higher version, you can still experience the pleasant things of Windows 10 for free as long as you do have a Microsoft account for yourself.

Windows Vista licenses aren’t allowed to upgrade. So you have to consider whether $119 for a Windows 10 license is really worth it.
